Here is a Fun little assignment working with Kieran Glass and Patrick Sohn. Using Components from a recycled Printer the Brief was to create ‘Functional Jewellery’, we also had to create a back story behind the motif of the design. The final design were Cufflinks used for formal occasions.
This was a study of creating a supporting structure to hold the human form in an obscure position.
A quarter size model was designed and constructed initially, and then a team assisted with the construction of a 1:1 scale version. The 1:1 Structure held the weight of four people, up and over 240kg! The 1:4 scale model could hold up to 65kg!
